The welcome automation and abandoned cart recovery
Automations in ClevMail are triggered by a specific subscriber event, not by a fixed calendar like the recurring newsletter.
The welcome automation
It starts automatically when a new subscriber signs up through a form on your site. On a CSV import it does NOT start automatically: the import screen has a separate checkbox, "Send the welcome email to the people in this file", off by default, that you have to check explicitly for the automation to also pick up the people the file brings in. We recommend leaving Skip weekends off for this automation, so the first email arrives right away, while interest is still fresh.
Abandoned cart recovery
Relevant for online stores. It triggers on an abandoned cart event sent by your store connected through WooCommerce, under Client settings, the "WooCommerce integration" card. Without a connected store, the automation can be created but nothing will start it. Other platforms (Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento) are not wired up today.
If the subscriber buys before the recovery email goes out, the send is cancelled automatically: nobody gets a "you forgot something in your cart" email after they already paid.
Per-automation reports
The Report button on each automation card opens detailed performance for that sequence, separate from the account's overall statistics.

- How to create and turn on an automation
An automation starts on its own only if it has both a configured step and a chosen trigger. A CSV import does not start the welcome automation unless you check that explicitly at import time. Left on manual, you start it yourself from the subscriber row.
