Finding your way around

3 min read

The left-hand menu has five groups, with the pages that are not tied to a single client sitting above them, and one more page pinned below them.

Above the groups

  • Home: the overview
  • Clients: the accounts you manage. Only shows up if you are an agency administrator, no matter how many clients you can access
  • Analytics: email performance, for the client you have selected

The five groups

  • Content: Clevi, Drafts, Campaigns
  • Contacts: Subscribers, Segments, Tags, Lists
  • Automation: Flows, Forms
  • Assets: Library, Media
  • Account: Details, Subscription, Team, Clevi settings, Client settings

Below everything: Agency settings

Agency settings (notifications and access, at account level) does not sit up top next to Home and Clients: it is pinned to the very bottom of the menu, under the client groups, and only shows up if you are an agency administrator. On your own account, without an administrator role, this entry is not in the menu at all, not just hidden from view.

Clevi and Clevi settings are not the same screen

The names look alike, but the screens do different things and live in different groups. Clevi, under Content, is where you actually work on an email with the assistant. Clevi settings, under Account, is where you tell it who you are and what it knows about you.

Clevi settings has five tabs: Brand profile, Knowledge, Memory, Control, and Activity. That is where the voice is configured, not in Client settings.

If you have access to more than one client

Everything in the menu is scoped to the client picked in the selector at the top. Switching clients changes the data across every page at once. The selector is there as soon as you have access to more than one client, administrator or not; the Clients page in the menu is a separate thing, reserved for administrators. If a page says no client is selected, pick one first: Subscribers, Campaigns, Flows, and Analytics all need an active client.

  • Your first login: agency account or your own account

The agency wizard is admin-only. On your own account there is no adding a client: your account is the client, and the first screen walks you through domain, brand, subscribers, and your first email.

  • Checklist before your first campaign

Five checks before your first real send: the sender address, the recipient counter, the phone-and-computer test, the physical address in the footer, and ramping up on a larger list.
