Your first login: agency account or your own account
ClevMail is used two ways: an agency that manages several clients from one account, or a brand that manages its own account directly. What you see the first time you sign in depends on which one you are, and the two never mix.
Agency account: the three-step wizard
The setup wizard only shows up on an agency administrator account. If you signed up on your own, for your own brand, you never see it and you do not need it: skip ahead to the "Your own account" section below.
Step 1: your agency name
Enter your agency name. This name shows up later in reports and can be used as a reference in the emails you send to clients.
Step 2: your first client
Add your first client's name and pick their industry, in the "Industry" field: Tourism and hospitality, Ecommerce, Health and wellness, or IT and technology. The industry adjusts the tone of the AI content suggestions for that client.
You can skip this step with "Skip for now" and add the client later from the Clients section, without losing your agency setup.
Step 3: ready to work
Once you press "Create client", you're taken straight to the dashboard. From there you pick the client in the header selector and get access to Subscribers, Campaigns, Flows, Analytics, and Settings for that client.
- Import your existing subscriber list (CSV), or add your first subscribers by hand
- Fill in Email Sending under Settings: the sender name and address
- Create your first campaign draft, or let AI generate one for you
Your own account: no wizard, your account is the client
If you signed up on your own, straight into your own brand, you never go through a wizard and you never "add" a separate client: the account you just created IS the client. On first login, the platform sets up your workspace automatically in the background, with nothing for you to fill in.
Your first email
Until you send something real, the Home page does not show the usual dashboard. Instead it shows a guide with four things to do, in this order:
- The domain. Start it first, even before you have subscribers: verifying it needs DNS propagation time, from minutes to hours, and it runs in the background while you work on the rest.
- The brand. Your logo and primary color, under Settings.
- The subscribers. Your first people on the list.
- The writing. Your first email sent, from Clevi.
Once you have sent a real campaign, or have one scheduled, the guide disappears and you see the usual dashboard. While you still have unfinished steps, a short list of them stays under "What's next" on Home until you're done.

- Finding your way around
The menu has five groups, plus pages above them and one below them, gated by whether you are an agency administrator. Clevi and Clevi settings are two different screens with near-identical names, in different groups.
- Checklist before your first campaign
Five checks before your first real send: the sender address, the recipient counter, the phone-and-computer test, the physical address in the footer, and ramping up on a larger list.
